El 9 de noviembre se conmomer\u00f3 en el Instituto Hebreo el aniversario del \u201cReichspogromnacht\u201d conocido como \u201cLa Noche de los cristales rotos\u201d, acontecimiento que marc\u00f3 un hito en el posterior desarrollo del Nazismo y sus grav\u00edsimas consecuencias para el mundo entero.\u00a0<\/p>\n
El rector junto a cinco alumnos de 10\u00b0 del Colegio Saint George, adem\u00e1s del director del \u00c1rea de Ciencias Sociales Mario Toledo y\u00a0 la Coordinadora de la Pastoral de la III unidad Fernanda Lara, junto con otras instituciones educativas participaron del encuentro, siendo el nuestro el \u00fanico colegio cat\u00f3lico participante. Leyeron y\u00a0 escucharon los testimonios de sobrevivientes sobre la vida jud\u00eda en Alemania antes de la guerra y de c\u00f3mo todos los sue\u00f1os se desvanecieron con la llegada de Hitler al poder. Cada colegio profundiz\u00f3 en la historia del sobreviviente del cual se comprometen a ser guardianes de su memoria.<\/p>\n
El rector del Saint George, P. David Halm nos comenta que \u00abfue un honor, junto con varios de nuestros estudiantes, representar a St. George’s College en este importante evento para recordar este tr\u00e1gico momento en la historia del pueblo jud\u00edo, la Kristallnacht. Prometemos ser guardianes de la memoria para que juntos construyamos un futuro de fraternidad, y nunca m\u00e1s del prejuicio y del odio.\u00bb<\/p>\n
De regalo recibieron el libro \u00abMemoria Viva\u00bb y ambos rectores continuar\u00e1n reuni\u00e9ndose para ver c\u00f3mo los dos colegios pueden conocerse y colaborar m\u00e1s, esperando encontrar espacios de reflexi\u00f3n entorno a la fe y oportunidades para compartir compromisos y convicciones espirituales.\u00a0<\/p>\n
