En la Congregaci\u00f3n de Santa Cruz, siempre llama la atenci\u00f3n el celo de los hermanos y sacerdotes, por anunciar la esperanza del evangelio y acompa\u00f1ar en el dolor a quienes pasan por dif\u00edciles momentos en sus vidas. Somos tambi\u00e9n una comunidad donde las personas que trabajan con nosotros, o que nos conocen m\u00e1s cercanamente, frecuentemente nos preguntan: \u00bfC\u00f3mo pueden mostrar tanto cari\u00f1o unos por otros, siendo tan diferentes?<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Esta pregunta refleja una inquietud que se presenta a cada cristiano, a toda la Iglesia, a muchas familias, e incluso a cada joven: \u00bfc\u00f3mo vivir en medio de nuestras propias diferencias, incluso con convicciones antag\u00f3nicas, mostrando ese amor que nos permite ser luz en el mundo y fuerza para anunciarlo d\u00eda a d\u00eda?<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Una de las figuras importantes en nuestra congregaci\u00f3n fue el P. Theodore Hesburgh, C.S.C., quien por 37 a\u00f1os fue presidente de la Universidad de Notre Dame en los Estados Unidos. El P. Hesburgh vivi\u00f3 tiempos de grandes cambios. Enfrent\u00f3 grandes desaf\u00edos para saber c\u00f3mo guiar la universidad, pero sobre todo para saber c\u00f3mo convivir con nuestras diferencias en tiempos de guerra, de violencia racial, de grandes transformaciones sociales y culturales, y transmitir una luz de esperanza en medio de la oscuridad. Al P. Hesburgh siempre se le vio como una persona optimista y con mucha esperanza. \u00bfCu\u00e1l fue la receta para poder sobrellevar esos momentos m\u00e1s duros? Entre sus escritos \u00e9l cuenta que, su oraci\u00f3n preferida era muy sencilla: \u201cVen Esp\u00edritu Santo, Ven Esp\u00edritu Santo\u201d. Al comenzar el d\u00eda y al terminarlo, volv\u00eda a decir: \u201cVen Esp\u00edritu Santo\u201d. El Esp\u00edritu Santo era sin duda la luz y la fuerza que gui\u00f3 toda su vida.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Los tiempos actuales no son nuevos. En el evangelio leemos c\u00f3mo el temor se hab\u00eda apoderado de los disc\u00edpulos y estando escondidos, con las puertas trancadas, por miedo a los jud\u00edos, recibieron el Esp\u00edritu Santo que no solo desarm\u00f3 el miedo, pero los hizo salir a anunciar a Jesucristo muerto y resucitado. En esa misma sala, \u201cse llenaron todos de Esp\u00edritu Santo y empezaron a hablar en lenguas extranjeras, seg\u00fan el Esp\u00edritu les permit\u00eda expresarse \u2026 todos los o\u00edmos contar, en nuestras lenguas, las maravillas de Dios\u201d (Hechos 2,4.11).<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
El Esp\u00edritu Santo derriba nuestros miedos, nos permite hablar, y nos abre a la maravilla de poder entendernos a pesar de nuestros diversas convicciones o idiomas. Que don m\u00e1s preciado para este tiempo de divisiones y conflictos. Para alcanzarlo, necesitamos caminar al modo de Jes\u00fas \u2013 sabiendo escuchar, sin miedo de hablar y sin diluir nuestras convicciones, guardando silencio para dejar abrir nuestros candados, volviendo una y otra vez a la oraci\u00f3n, que es la \u00fanica forma de encontrarnos con Jes\u00fas, y recibir la verdad de Dios.<\/div>\n

Es en la eucarist\u00eda donde el Esp\u00edritu nos re\u00fane como una sola familia. En la mesa de la eucarist\u00eda se nos recuerda como Jesucristo ha sido \u201checho hombre por obra del Esp\u00edritu Santo\u201d. Es el Esp\u00edritu Santo quien santifica por medio del sacerdote, los dones que le presentamos. Es quien nos congrega en un solo cuerpo a los que participamos en el Cuerpo y Sangre de Cristo.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
Pidamos d\u00eda a d\u00eda, con las mismas palabras del P. Hesburgh, \u201cVen Esp\u00edritu Santo\u201d, y derrame su Luz y su fuerza en las decisiones que no debemos postergar; en las dificultades que hay que afrontar; y sobre todo abrazar la convicci\u00f3n que el Esp\u00edritu Santo nos llevar\u00e1 a ser piedras vivas, del templo de Dios, reavivando ese amor fraternal al que somos llamados desde nuestro Bautismo.<\/div>\n
