Este a\u00f1o el Colegio Saint George est\u00e1 cumpliendo un anhelo de m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os. Renovar la Biblioteca del Colegio y modernizarla para satisfacer los requerimientos de la actualidad.<\/p>\n
Con el fin de fomentar la lectura y la investigaci\u00f3n entre los estudiantes, el colegio desarroll\u00f3 en los \u00faltimos dos a\u00f1os el proyecto de una nueva biblioteca.\u00a0 Luego de consultar a especialistas en bibliotecas y visitar varias bibliotecas nuevas de calidad, se logr\u00f3 un hermoso proyecto desarrollado por la arquitecta Isabel Deves. A fines del a\u00f1o pasado se licit\u00f3 la construcci\u00f3n, que comenz\u00f3 en enero de 2026.\u00a0 Esperamos que est\u00e9 lista en octubre o en noviembre de este a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n

La nueva Biblioteca contar\u00e1 con una colecci\u00f3n de 20.000 libros que los alumnos podr\u00e1n buscar directamente en los estantes. Los libros tendr\u00e1n una codificaci\u00f3n electr\u00f3nica que permitir\u00e1 el resguardo del material.\u00a0 Tambi\u00e9n se contar\u00e1 con un sistema de pr\u00e9stamo de libros digitales.<\/p>\n
La Biblioteca tendr\u00e1 tambi\u00e9n una colecci\u00f3n de archivos del colegio y su historia, a la cual podr\u00e1 accederse electr\u00f3nicamente. Habr\u00e1 salas de estudio, espacio para charlas y presentaciones, y un hermoso espacio solo para los m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os y con cuentacuentos.<\/p>\n
